KOREAN-MADISONVILLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Church History

Our Korean congregation was founded in 1972 as the very first Korean church in Cincinnati.  In 1993, we merged with the 200 year-old Madisonville Methodist Church to form the Korean-Madisonville United Methodist Church.  Today our church is home to 150 Korean families and 30 American families.  For more detailed history, please check the "Our Church History" section on the main web page.

Church Membership Demographics

About 80% of our Korean members are immigrants.  Many are 1st generation immigrants.  The rest of our Korean families consist of Koreans who immigrated with their parents and grew up in the U.S. (called 1.5 generation immigrants) and their children who were born in the United States (called 2nd generation immigrants).

The remaining 20% of our church population consists of students from Korea or visiting Korean relatives.

The ages of our members range widely from infants to senior citizens.

Our members¡¯ occupation, family status and income are indicative of the average Korean-American societies in the United States.

Worship

We gather together in the spirit of Christian Fellowship and to praise the word of God each Sunday at 10:00am (English) and 11:30am (Korean).
